Labor (free) Day!

It's a windy Labor Day around here today. We all had breakfast and...

Cheeto sums up today. She's in her Snuggy and lounging today - so are the rest of us ;)

*I have to report that poor Little Miss Cheeto hurt her eye sometime on Saturday. By the end of the day, once we were home, she was squinting her right eye and it was slightly swollen. Thankfully, our new vet's office is open 7 days a week. We took her in on Sunday and the doctor found she had cut her 3rd eyelid. She is on a pain medicine and eye ointment. Her 3rd eyelid should be healed in about a week. She feels much better already with the meds! No more swelling and she doesn't seem to be painful any more.

In light of all this, we went ahead and ordered Cheeto a pair of Doggles. Don't laugh, but they are goggles for dogs. With her being so short and having the Chihuahua bug eyes, they should prevent her from any more injuries to her eyes. With Cheeto being so short and running through the grass and brush, she was always squinting, because everything is in her face at that level. She was lucky she wasn't hurt more severely. She may look goofy, (more than likely super cute) but I think it's needed hiking equipment for Cheeto ;D
