First off, Cheeto got her doggles! Oh and isn't she adorable?!! I can't get over her! :DI also have some bad news to share, but news that has also gotten better, about Cheeto.
A week and a half ago Cheeto vomited a few times and was refusing to eat. We took her to the vet and she was in acute renal failure. She spent 3 nights at the vet's on i.v. fluids. We just had her kidneys ultra sounded and more blood work done. The specialist doctor Cheeto saw thinks she must have eaten something to upset her tummy to make her vomit and cause kidney failure.
Cheeto needs special care for the next 2 months or so to get her kidneys healed. She will be on a prescription diet and has to be well hydrated for the damage to be reversed in her kidneys. It looks as though this was a one time incident and those kidneys will be good as new in short time.
Cheeto is already acting like her self and feeling great! She doesn't know she's sick, so it's up to us to get her on the road to wellness.
Poor Cheeto missed most of Grandma & Grandpa's visit. She did get one afternoon with them and was happy to have that time. Bud and Gail were here to help us through another hard time with our beloved furry kids!
