Mr & Mrs Elk

This Mr & Mrs were right next to the road! We are standing less than 20 feet from the cow in the picture! The bull was just on the other side of a small creek, keeping an eye on his wife and us!

I took this picture with out zooming in! I am standing right in this tall grass in the foreground of this picture! The cow was happily munching, not paying us much attention at all. There were about 5-7 people also standing here watching them. The cow has a radio collar on. We aren't sure why she has it.

It was really breath taking to be this close!
