Lacy just got into the stocks and they have sedated her. You can see Flint waiting outside :P
She has a mouthpiece in to keep her mouth open while the doctor files the sharp point off her teeth. I am glad my dentist appointments don't involve all this! ;)
Here is the doctor using the power float to file her teeth. They do all the teeth floating at the clinic. The float is operated by air pressure.

The doctor said mares don't usually have canine teeth. Lacy has one lower canine tooth. He said horses can cut their own tongues on these teeth and people can cut themselves while putting a bit in the horse's mouth. In this picture he is filing down her canine tooth. It was really big and I never noticed it before. Lacy doesn't use a bit when we ride. It's all filed down now.
