Pool Time Fun!

I just wanted you to see how well Zeke is doing!

He was started on a steroid last weekend to start to help in decreasing the size of the lymph nodes and bring back his appetite. This steroid is also a part of his chemotherapy treatments and he takes it daily. It started working the very next day after his first dose! Zeke has been eating very ferociously ever since! He needs to gain back 14lbs the cancer has taken from him. And, he has gotten back to acting like his 'ol self! (as you can see :)

So today I thought was a good day to finally get him a swimming pool! You can see how he loves water, no matter how little he has to play in ;)

*You may see that his belly is shaved. This was done for the ultrasound he had on Monday to look at his enlarged spleen. He also has some shaved areas on his legs. This was done for the IV chemotherapy treatment and for the areas blood samples were collected from.

*As the lymph nodes shrink from the chemo treatments, his spleen will shrink and go back to it's normal size also. He looks somewhat boney now, but with 4 meals a day and this new found jumbo-sized appetite, I think Zeke will "fill out" back to his 'ol self real soon too!

Zeke is doing wonderfully this weekend. We are playing a little and resting a lot, as his body needs both right now :)
